Teriyaki Salmon, Steamed Broccoli and Brown Rice

Serves 1
Ingredients
- 150g salmon fillet
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup steamed broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup cooked brown rice
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy
- sauce, honey (or maple syrup), minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to make the teriyaki sauce.
- Place the salmon fillet in a baking dish lined with parchment paper or aluminium foil.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the salmon, making sure to coat it evenly.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until it is cooked through and flakes easily.
- While the salmon is baking, steam the broccoli until it is tender-crisp.
- Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the baked teriyaki salmon with steamed broccoli and brown rice.
